The Government of India
launched the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds)
project, which aims to accomplish the three main goals of the Education Policy:
fairness, quality, and access. Providing the greatest teaching and learning resources
to everyone, including the most disadvantaged, is the aim of our endeavour. For
students who have up until now been left out of the digital revolution and
unable to integrate into the knowledge economy, SWAYAM aims to close the
digital gap. This is accomplished through a platform that makes it possible for
all courses taught in classrooms starting in Class 9 and continuing through
post-graduation to be hosted and accessible at any time, by anybody, anywhere.
All of the interactive courses are offered to learners at no cost and were
created by the top educators in the nation. Over a thousand carefully selected
educators from all throughout the nation have contributed to the creation of
these courses.
There are four categories
for the courses offered on SWAYAM:
(1) Video lecture
(2) Reading materials that
have been specially developed and can be printed or downloaded
(3) Self-evaluation
assessments using tests and tests
(4) An online
discussion board to allay any uncertainties. Modern pedagogy and technology,
together with audio-video and multi-media resources, have been employed to
enhance the educational process.
Our institution is
establishing a SWAYAM-NPTEL branch in order to further this effort and inspire
additional students from other colleges to take part in it. In order to support
faculty and student academic advancement, we have scheduled NPTEL certification
courses.
